My experience with A-1 Storage for the last year has been outstanding. There employees are always professional and informative. The facilities was in outstanding condition.
Please be advised the condition was exactly what I was looking for when I stored the contents of a 3 Bedroom home after living in Dana Point for 18 years. As a Certified Property Manager and having Self Storage Facilities as a portion of my Portfolios over 35 years it was mandatory that it meet my essential demands.

New facility that's clean, brightly lit, cool. All units are indoors, with a convenient freight elevator accessed only by unique code. Well maintained, and very pleasant, efficient office staff. Reasonable prices, too. Highly recommend.

Answered all of my questioned prior to submitted payment via online chat. After reserving a unit, the local manager immediately followed up with a phone call to help answer any outstanding questions I had. Great service thus far :)

It couldve been better. I thought that the front desk receptionist couldve made my move in easier by having all the paper completed when I came 2 days prior in order to make the transition smoother. For example, I showed up two days to start the paper work and payment. That way, I show up and have my code and storage place already identified especially when my movers are on the clock. I also thought that a quick tour of the layout of the building would be helpful because it was a huge facility and time was of the essence. Outside all thatd the facility was clean, secure, and very nice. So I gave it a 4-star rating.

Very nice facility. Good overall service. However, they take advantage of knowing the challenges of moving and systematically raise your rate on you.

Exceptional service and care taken by Kathy and all the employees. Will recommend to all my friends. This is the premier storage facility in So. Orange County, clean, easy access and fun and friendly staff.
Just rented another unit and must say the employees, this time Kel and Sarah made the process so easy. They know all the details about the different units so we had a hassle free experience and we got just the unit we needed. A-1 keeps impressing me with all their professional employees and services.

All of my belongings are covered in white mold and I am a disabled single mom and left with nothing. They disclaim any responsibility so far but I will repost if the area manager is able to help tomorrow. I was in an Airbnb for awhile because I could not afford rent. Now that I have a place I have very unhappy kids and no nowhere to sit and no tv to help my migraine. They apparently are not in full compliance with California law but that may be unrelated.

The storage facility was very clean and the ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. They have dollys to help load your belongings to your unit to save time in having to do multiple trips. Overall great experience.

This place is by far the best storage facility option in San Juan Capistrano. Over the years I have had a unit at one time or another at all of the other facilities in town. A-1 is the newest facility in town. Therefore they have all of the latest conveniences. Very clean and secure. Well lit and at even smells good. Great hours and access to your unit.
Staff is all 5 stars. Everyone I have spoken to on the phone or dealt with in person has been friendly and helpful. Teresa, the manager, another young lady and most recently Thomas working the front desk were all courteous and knowledgeable.

Some what ok place to store your belongings. Only had rats in my stuff once while storing here luckily I didnt have food or anything in my unit and they only tore a bag and couldnt find anything and moved on. Prices are high but depending on who you are they have been known to match prices in a cheaper area. Yes I am a formal employee but my review is true and honest while my belongings were stored at this facility. Not being employed by this company is the best thing that has happened to me since I came to California. I wasted 4 years as a part of this company. It is also my belief that employees at certain facilities in this company write reviews under customers accounts made falsely to get reviews and to make them look good. I would bet if the company checked into every IP on every review they would probably find some of this going on. Anyway, I left this review to let people know what they are getting into. I edited my review and lowered it to one star because the company tried to discredit my honest review of the facility as a customer for 4 years not as an employee. Besides, if I was doing it as a disgruntled employee I would have done it for the Lake Forest location I worked at. Way to go A-1 make yourself look even worse.

I'm currently a customer of A-1 Storage. Their rates are excellent. Easy online payment system. Clean facilities. Super friendly staff. Kathleen is extremely knowledgeable with all the in's and out's of policies, processes and procedures. Relatively new, I appreciate the security, expanded hours to access hours, parking spacings, loading docks and most of the location next to the I-5 freeway. This makes transporting to and from the storage locker very convenient.

A-1 Storage is a great facility, and the staff is friendly. Unlike other storage facilities in the area, youre allowed to access your unit until 10pm. There is a bathroom on site and carts available during access hours.

Good hours but staff manager is very intrusive which is to back she seemed nice at first and she maybe nice but something just ain't quite right I won't be renewing ymmv

Absolutely love this facility so clean so wonderful. didn't need to store very long and it ended up being just a couple of weeks before our place was ready but the staff was so accommodating, the unit was in a great position and place, liked being in the basement. I would recommend this facility to everyone, Kathleen and Alysa are top notch, so professional but fun with smiles on both of their faces.

Rented a small space for 2 months, went on vacation came back and the lock was open...Nothing was gone but I know it was opened for some reason. Hence my 2 star review.

I absolutely love a-1 Self Storage they have a great team in the office Kathleen and Alysa work really hard to make everything go smoothly especially when you move out of state and you have to get your goods from their facility back to where you are everybody still willing to work with you. When I was renting there I loved how clean the facility was and how new everything looked. If I come back to California I will definitely rent here again highly recommend to anybody I know

This was my first time renting a storage unit and from the phone call to customer service to inquire to the follow up from Kathleen was amazing. When I arrived, Kathleen was expecting my arrival and was the most courteous and pleasant person to work with. The process was if not one of the easiest and most cost effective. My sister and I shared a unit at the facility and all I can say is OMG!!! The staff was excellent and so helpful when we moved in, we got to use their moving truck for free and we got a great unit at a great price. Kathleen the manager is so awesome, she is really understanding and knows her job. Her customer service skills are truly the best. I met her new associate Alysa before I moved and she was really helpful and very pleasant to talk to. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, well priced and well run facility. Kudos to A-1.
