Great facility and staff!! We did not experience any issues while storing the contents of our home here. The staff, especially the general manager, were very accommodating, despite storage access not being available on Labor Day, while the staff was not present.

Sign-up online was smooth if not quick, after a call I placed on phone. Looks like they collect your driver's license. I was not made aware of the $20 admin fee in addition to the monthly rental. I was also not made aware that the rental was on 3rd floor, so I need to take an elevator, but also need a trolley as the actual storage was 100ft away from the elevator. After I signed up and took the key code, I still did not know it was on the 3rd floor. Then we found out after going to the storage locker that it was not on the ground floor. When I went back to the office, the person there mentioned that the ground floor is not available. So we went with the third floor. Next, I heard that the light is not working. It turns out the light was working, but I have to go to the middle of the passage and wave my hands to get the lights on. They also do not have electricity inside the storage and do not have a connection outside for a fan, as it gets very hot. There is no A/C so it can get really hot. The storage was roomy and clean. No insects detected so far. The other issue is the trolley is not available after 6 PM as the office is closed. So you cannot really use the storage if you come after 6 PM and have a lot of items to carry. The trolleys are all locked. Additionally if you go at lunch time, they are out for lunch. Not clear when they will come back. The street washer in front of the office splashes water on you as you walk by the car. He claims to not know anything about the place even though he looks like a regular worker. They have locks in place that you can purchase and they seem to function well. The elevator door closes a bit too quickly. So you need one more person to help you if you are bringing in heavy items.It's not clear what route you take if the elevators break down. It seems like you would get stranded. I like the security at the complex with gated key entry. I did not see any weirdos inside the complex.

Rented storage almost completely on-line. Forms were simple to fill out, the staff was professional and pleasant. Took only about 30 minutes in total. Best experience renting a storage...ever!

I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. I reserved and paid online for my unit almost positive i picked the drive up access option but did not get even close to that. The two ladies at the front desk were not helpful or even nice never once did they crack the slightest bit of a smile and when i asked if could change units she made it seem as if it was an issue and proceeded to tell me they would be over 300+ a month. I am thinking she just didn't want to deal with it but I am not sure. I was so unhappy with the unit i said screw the 32$ online and 12 in store i paid I left it how it was and went to another store not the same business Public storage and am much more happier with my purchase.

I like it. It has security and very good climate control. I've been there almost 6 years. The only thing is that they keep raising the rent. You would think being there that long they would stop

This storage place is convenient and clean and a safe place to store your stuff.the staff there are very nice and so much help they can answer any of your questions and have great promotions and prices. They have carts you can use and great hours. I recommend renting here if you need storage stop by the one by Monterey rd!

My name is John. I enjoyed using the storage on Monterey and Lewis Road close to a year.
The Staff Jo Ann and the Remainder of Staff all were Super Professional.
This place was well organized and SUPER CLEAN.

The employee joanna and the other Hispanic female that refuses to give her name are highly rude and do not meet the professionalism in customer service. I asked both of them to stop calling me and will take care of my billing after I'm done with a lose of a love. The other young Hispanic female that refuses to give me her name kept calling while attending a funeral wake leaving harassing phone calls and voice mail messages with the repetitive calls of 6 times during that day. I asked joanna to stop calling me and that I wanted details to purse in a complaint. None of the employees are respectful and are highly rude. Homeless people use the restroom to bath and reviewed my paperwork with my lawyer and nothing in the paperwork I signed or was given mentions of a 1 self storage employees are entitled of harrassment.

This storage service is professional and clean. There were always staff available to help. I had a bad experience with a lesser storage place before I came to A-1. The sense of reassurance I had every time I came to retrieve something and all of my possessions were still there safe and sound. I am glad I gave them my business for 2 years. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs safe keeping of their items.

The ladies in there are very rude. They have 0 customer service skills. Its like they hate their jobs. Take your money somewhere else these guys are not easy to deal with.

Excellent facility with a great staff. I looked at several places but rented from this place because it was clean, they had good storage options/ prices and the staff members were helpful. There are flat carts you can borrow if you need them. I stored my items for 18 months and whenever I contacted them - usually by email -they were quick to respond. Thank you A-1.

Moved right in, but they don't have good latches, so they sell circular padlocks with smaller metal bar diabeter, to swing into the little holes in the too-small latches, that were put in, so the bigger diameter padlocks cannot fit in, just the ones A-1 sells onsite.

Everything was going well since 2014 until about two weeks ago when my unit was broken into. They asked for a list of things that were taken. I haven't done this. I didn't have anything really valuable in there because I had already started removing stuff and taking it to Salvation Army. What's left is old pictures, old cds, old school work and old equipment like an overhead project etc. He ransacked some of the boxes. The rest were clear plastic. you could see what's in there -- a bunch of nothing. Before you rent here make sure you have an inventoried list of everything you put in storage with pics. Update: Was contacted by A1 and they are working to add new security and checking to see if they can do more to prevent theft. I appreciate that.

Awesome Customer Service- These Joselin and Angela were very dedicated to there job.If you not sure on what to look for when storing your personal belongings. After describing our situation they did a wonderful job making sure we got everything we needed including saving us some money. It was a very "CLEAN and SAFE ENVIRONMENT WITH HUMOR ALL IN ONE". The last place that we had our belonging-stole my mother n laws personal belonging, an it torn me into two-knowing that she has passed away 3 years ago. So for me and my husband, they will always be our number one choice. You both need a "raise" You can not find good customer service like this and know the job.

Staffs there were very helpful and friendly. I got to the office just 5 or 10 minutes before closing. They were helping me with a smile on their faces the whole time. They had to stay 15 minutes after closing I think. Friendly, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, patient. Oh, the office was clean, organized and smell fresh. They even have the coffee and water for customers. Was my first time there and like it a lot.

Very convenient. Super nice staff. Moving in and moving out was hassle free. I live in the U.K. so I wasn't able to be there when moving company moved my stuff out of storage, the staff was there to help me through the move. Very appreciative of their support. Would recommend to a friend.

Offer large storage spaces although they are very expensive and no power or lights in the outside units. But they sure have lots of spiders and cockroaches that get into your unit, because it is right next to a landscape material company.

There are cockroaches and spiders that get into your storage unit. And they are way over priced. No light or power in the outside units. I wasn't even there two weeks and they raised my rent.

This place is awesome the girls wear very helpful and kind. Coming from another storage I am very satisfied that I switched to this storage it much cleaner and like that I can come to my unit till ten and the Girl Sabrina who helped me was very polite and nice.

What a wonderful storage location, facility, and staff! This is me and my husbands first storage unit and we were a bit worried about our first location. However, Maggie was brilliant and very inviting and knew just how to make us feel at home!
The pricing per unit was also affordable and this entire place is very reliable. This place is secure, fast, and convenient and you won't be disappointed. :-)

Like to say I had a great experience with a1 storage in Monterey customer service is excellent specially Giovanna she went out of her way to make it a good experience for me the place is very clean I'm very pleased .
