Although it is a bit pricey, I never had an issue with my unit, the facilities, or the staff. Staff never answers with uh I dont know and they always try to come up with a solution for you. If I ever need a storage unit again, Id definitely come back.

Renting a unit was very easy from initial emails to site inspection. The facilities are very well maintained, clean and secure and having office personnel on site to answer any questions and help with queries is a major bonus. Thank you Chris and team for your A1 service.

Clean facility. Well lit, spacious units and walkways, easy to access, great security system.
The staff is helpful, polite, courteous, and all around easy to work with and talk to.
I did a lot of browsing around to compare prices, and no one compared to A-1. 5 stars, hands down, and would very much recommend!

QUALITY is what you will get here! GREAT online system that never failed me, the grounds were very secure and always clean, and the office staff is always up front and kind. Office staff would call me when my payment was late so that I would not incure a late fee and treated me professionally when I was in a financial stretch. Every item I stored there was nicely preserved and (unlike with other units I've rented), I never saw signs of bugs of ANY kind - not even flies! I don't know how these guys did it, but I can honestly say my stay was PERFECT! Even when I moved out - I wanted to sweep the floor to leave the unit as it was when they rented it to me, but office staff said, "Don't worry about that. We got you"! I highly recommend this location (Senter Rd, San Jose) of A-1 Self Storage.

Excellent customer service and great prices. I had my entire house in storage for about one year and the staff was always friendly and informative. I felt very safe with my priceless goods in their hands. I could not find a better monthly rate anywhere else in the area.

As far as storage units go, A1 was great. Clean facility, the unit stays cool even in the summer. And when my debit card expired, they called me to let me know my payment hadn't been recieved BEFORE any late charges were accrued. Not enough companies do that today. 5/5.

Expensive and dirty restroom and Manager is the husky guy with beard he likes to spy on tenents and pick on them . evicts you if you leave late . He dont evict all the tenants that sleep there over night .

Very nice staff, move in was fast and simple! Great rates. And this place is so clean inside, with nearly spotless white walls. I never thought a storage place would smell so clean and fresh. Temperature control keeps it all nice and cool inside. The elevator is nice and roomy. And they have dollies to carry your stuff, you just need to check one out at the front desk with your I.D. during regular business hours.

First time renting a storage - I am happy so far..... update: I found a place to live, emptied my storage unit before rent was due for the next month. A1 staff was helpful, pleasant and the unit was big, reasonably priced, easy to access, clean, new, always had music playing and was available to me until 10pm, and ending the contract was as pleasant and easy as starting it. Cant say enough good things about this place. 5 stars!

I used this storage place for over six months. The staff was just as friendly and helpful from before I picked my unit to the time I moved out. The restroom was always clean and helpful when I needed to use it. The hallways are automatically well lit and there were always at least one cart available for moving my things. Thank you Chris, Andrea, Kevin & Dana for a great experience and great customer service!

The service was outstanding!!!! The staff was polite, helpful ,and were very approachable . I give the staff four star they should have received five stars but greedy corporate heads know how to extort money from desperate people knowing they have no choice but to pay or loose their belongings... They should only bump the rates up on those that are flagrant.. and those that are on time consistent with there fees should be rewarded...it's called customer service.. policy needs balance!!!

Fast process, clean and well secured location (2-level access codes, video and recessed cylinder locks), and favorable extended hours until 10pm - at a great special to move in. SOLD! Great job guys!

Excellent customer service, clean, well thought process in terms of logistics, paperwork and self-management. My only feedback for improvement would be to patrol the grounds and the hallways for customers who "appear" to be staying inside too long and are not moving goods in or out. I would feel safer if people flows in and out. Also, post a sign at the entrance that prohibits tailgating but indicating a customer to stop upon entrance till the gate closes.

It is an inexpensive storage facility. AC continuously works there and keep the place cool. It is safe and easily accessible. You can easily make online payments. First month storage was free for me and I enjoyed keeping my stuff there.

Moved to this storage after using Public Storage. A1 Storage seems to feel more welcoming, there's music playing in the background while you're working on organizing or moving your belongings. The process to get one is easy too and they lay out many options on where you want to be as for storage selection.

The rental process is super easy and straight forward, it probably took me less than half an hour to finish all paperwork and get my lease started whenever I wanted. The staff were super courteous and helpful. Especially appreciate that they honour the online price I reserved for my unit, since apparently it hiked between then and when I went to the facility and got the paperwork done.
The storage area is super clean which is awesome, but the bathroom needs to be better kept! Lots of security, you have to punch in an access code in order to get through the gate, operate the elevator, and use the bathroom. Online bill pay is a breeze.
Some minor gripes I have is that I'm not sure if the facility is "climate controlled" since it's still definitely hotter on the top floors; can't comment on the humidity (yet) though. And every now and then you find a bug inside.

This place is so clean and secure! If you go at end of the month it's only $40 for lock, insurance and processing fee. Cheaper than public storage and much more cleaner and secure!! Come here. Senter location is great!

It was my first time using A-1 self storage. I was almost hopless looking for storages in my area until I drove across Senter Rd. I had confirmed a storage within 20 min. Customer service was excellent! The property was well kept too. Also, the deals were even cheaper than the other storages I had priced out.

This is my first storage place. I am moving some stuff to a new location thus i need to get a temporary storage. I really enjoyed the great costumer service i received. I am currently renting a 10x10 storage at a fairly low price of 170 per month with the first month free.

Chris at A-1 on Senter is amazing! He helped me get the right storage unit and was extremely accommodating to help me have my relocation cube placed on site so that I could unload it with ease. This really made a stressful move better and I couldn't be more appreciative. The sign up process was a piece of cake and I feel very comfortable with the storage facility itself. It's clean, well-lit, and very secure. I feel good about having all my earthly possessions kept here now and indefinitely into the future. Thanks so much!
