I had a good experience with the front desk person. he was very nice. i was in and out quickly, but the guy that attended me was concise with their policies and rules. I would rent a storage space here again.

I didn't have not one issue with this company! If I had questions about anything or if I wanted to switch units I had no problem doing so. I would definitely recommend this company to others!

My experience is actually 4 and-a-half stars. I did experience an incident that was not expected, however the manager and fellow employees handled it very professionally. Very well kept facilities, affordable pricing for various storage space sizes, and one of only a few self-storage facilities in the eastern part of Chula Vista that is conveniently located and easy to get to. So, for those in need of short or long term self-storage solutions who live east of the 805, head on down to A-1 Self Storage. They would be happy to assist you in your storage solution needs, along with brand new moving carts to haul several or bulky items. Thank you very much Edson, and everyone else for taking care of mine! Keep it up!

While it certainly is one of the cleanest facilities of this type, the constant rent increases were troublesome.
If you can get a business type account, you are allowed 24 hour access.
Sometimes, the elevators were stalled by other renters who were very rude people. This is a three-story building and a lot of renters can show up at one time during regular hours.
There is a steady turnover of front desk help.
The office lobby security monitor displays your last name & unit # to public view when you enter using the code keypad. I protested this a few times, but action was never taken by A-1.

The storage was clean, easily accessible, and the staff always helpful. Price was a little steep compared to other storage facilities.

Very friendly customer service, never any issues while I was there for a year. Property is kept clean and safe, I mean what else could you ask for in a storage unit besides those three things.. I definitely recommend them of you're looking in the area.

I have used a couple different storage places, and this particular A-1 Self Storage has been the most superior by far. Every assosiate who assisted me was pleasant and informative. I would reccomend this location to anyone who's looking for outstanding storage services.

Ive rented with storage companies before and this is the best by far. Edson was extremely helpful and found us a unit closest to the elevator to make our move in easier. Stellar customer service!

I am extremely pleased that I was able to rent a 10' X 15' unit from this excellent facility. Kaela assisted me and her service was fast, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable! I had checked out a nearby competitor and A-1 was able to offer me a price for the 10' X 15' unit for less than the other facility wanted to charge me for a 10' X 10' unit. This facility is modern, clean and secure.

My boyfriend got deployed and I needed somewhere to keep all his stuff ! Gladly A 1 storage was there to help me ! The staff is super friendly didn't have any problems with them whatsoever. Also the units fit everyone's needs for the space they need . Pricing is good as well ! Would recommend to anyone !! Especially the cancellation ! Easy !

A-1 storage was good at best. The storage room met my needs, the prices are fair, the unit was clean and they provided me with a military discount. The only issue I had with this company was that they do not refund your money if you vacate the storage unit early and they also do not offer a lock recycle program. Instead of charging for the month in advance A-1 should charge for the month that it was used for, because if you vacate early, you only pay for the days you used. I also had to purchase a lock that only fits that storage unit. I don't have a need or can use that lock anywhere else. A-1 storage needs to re-evaluate their policies when it comes to early vacancy and offer a recycle program for the locks, where you get a percentage of the purchase price back for the lock and it can also provide future tenants to purchase used locks at half the price. For this reason I could not give it more than 2 stars.

We needed a storage on very short notice and were able to reserve a space over the phone. We went in the next day and Ray helped us out and walked us through everything! Ray was a great help and had superior customer service. Thanks for making this experience an enjoyable one!

Moving to San Diego, I knew I would need a storage unit. I was lucky to find a storage location so convenient to me. Gina is absolutely wonderful and already had all of my paperwork ready to where all I had to do was sign. I have been there at different times of day and night and always felt safe. The place is always clean, maintenance staff is always cordial, and I would highly recommend this location to everyone in need of a unit. Even most tenants are friendly. You can't beat great customer service, reasonable prices, and easy accessibility. A-1 on Lazo Ct has it all and is my only choice.
